The album was inspired by War Veterans, and represents a commitment to support their well-being and honor the sacrifices they’ve made for their country. About the Album
Warrior Life is a passion project by Billy Dawson, a West Texas native singer, songwriter, and producer. The album was produced and recorded by Billy Dawson and Dawson Studios with the help of Chris Bishop, CEO of North American Motor Car. The songs were written by Billy Dawson and a variety of artists, veterans, and friends, including Kelli Johnson, Aaron Barker, Alice Lankford, Ava Paige, BJ Ganem, Blake NeeSmith, Brendan McCarthy, Sgt. Maj. Carlton W Kent (16th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps), Chris Bishop, Damien Sheerin, Jason Culbreath, Jimbo Martin, Lee Brice, Mike Britt, Sgt. Maj. Robert E. Eriksson, Sara Brice, Scott Davis, Troy Walls, and Wood Newton. The album was mixed by legendary mixing engineers, including Ben Grosse, Bob Clearmountain, Chris Lord Alge, Dan Korneff, Joe Zook, Mike Plotnikoff, Reid F. Shippen, Skidd Mills, and Tome Lord Alge. The songs were digitally mastered by Bob Ludwig, Brad Blackwood, Chris Athens, Chris Gehringer, Howie Weinberg, Justin Sturtz, Nathan Dantzler, Pete Lyman, Ted Jensen, and Tom Baker. Additional musicians also featured throughout the album include Ilan Rubin (drummer for Nine Inch Nails and frontman for The New Regime) and Billy Sheehan (bass credits The Winery Dogs, Steve Vai, and David Lee Roth).
About Billy Dawson
Billy Dawson is a West Texas native singer, songwriter, and producer who has collaborated with many of Music City’s top writers, including Rodney Clawson, Chris Tompkins, Lee Brice, Riley Green, Lee Thomas Miller, Kimberly Perry (The Band Perry), Hillary Scott (Lady A), Brian Kelly (Florida Georgia Line), Jon Nite, Tyler Farr and more. He recently signed a publishing deal with Boom, a company established by Joe Fisher, Keith Urban, and hitmaker Ross Copperman in 2017. Boom has been relaunched by Fisher, who brought on music industry powerhouses Shaina Botwin, Emma Kiefer, Warner Chappell, and country songwriting legend Rodney Clawson. Dawson has shared the stage with artists including Toby Keith, Lee Brice, Big and Rich, Josh Turner, Joe Nichols, Charlie Louvin, Montgomery Gentry, Aaron Lewis, Craig Morgan, Frankie Ballard, Lady A, and more.
